IBON International Goes to COP29!
From November 11 to 22, 2024, Jennifer Del Rosario-Malonzo (Executive Director), Ivan Enrile (Programme Manager), Jax Bongon (Climate Justice Policy Officer), and Melanie Feranil (Research and Policy Coordinator) will represent IBON International at the 29th UN Climate Change Conference in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Through the campaign Global Call for #ClimateReparations and #RealSolutions, IBON International will assert the need for reparations for the exploitation and ecosystem degradation caused by historical and ongoing injustices inflicted by the global North on the global South. 🌏
We join movements worldwide demanding global North countries to #PayUp for their colonial plunder and climate debt, and redirect #ClimateFinance away from harmful distractions toward real solutions that address the root causes of the climate crisis.
